Catus Alisiâs, a somber occasion that beckons us to delve into the annals of history and ponder the struggles endured by the Gauls. Today, we stand as witnesses to the echoes of those tumultuous times, a reminder of the sacrifices made by our ancestors in the face of tyranny. The climax of their struggle for freedom unfolded at Alesia, where a united Gaul joined forces in the lands of the Aeduii to formulate a plan of action. The Carnutes, standing with resolve, dispatched 12,000 of their dwindling populace to support Vercingetorix. The Santones, Bituriges, Ruteni, Sequani, and Senones all rallied to the cause. Yet, they underestimated Caesar’s determination and witnessed the deployment of ruthless tactics that defied the norms of honorable warfare. In the weeks that followed, divisions emerged, and tribes clashed, further hastening their submission to the evolving order imposed upon their lands.

Today, as we commemorate this historic date, we, the Galatis, Gaulish Pagans, Gaulish Polythiest, or whatever name one prefers, must recognize the deeper meaning behind our reflections. This is not a time for hatred or anti-Roman propaganda. Instead, it is an occasion to pay tribute to our fallen Senogalatis, to grieve their loss, and to sing songs of remembrance. Above all, it is a moment of introspection, an opportunity to learn from history.

In our Gaulish spiritual community, we witness a diversity of perspectives and approaches. Just as Gaul was a tapestry of distinct tribes, our community represents a myriad of beliefs and practices. Yet, we must remember that unity does not demand conformity. Rather, it calls for acceptance and mutual respect. Our shared enemy is not our fellow people, but those who perpetuate hatred, racism, homophobia, and narrow-mindedness.

In the spirit of the past, let us endeavor to unite Gaul as our ancestors tried to do. A united Gaul is not one that thinks the same, but one that embraces diversity. The challenges we face today are not insurmountable if we stand together. We, must coexist, provide support, and ensure our survival. Together, we can protect the Gaulish spirit , uphold our values, and face the common adversaries that threaten our community.

As Catus Alisiâs dawns upon us, let us remember our shared history, honor our fallen ancestors, and renew our commitment to unity. The past teaches us that when we stand united, we can overcome any adversity. Our path forward is clear: together, we must thrive and endure as one Galatis community, embracing our diversity while standing against those who seek to divide us.

With that said, we (Organizations, groups, and their respective leaders) have convened to establish an alliance that binds us together.

This Alliance is an offering to the gods, ancestors, and the greater Gaulish Community.
