Drūið:
The thread of life is spun when we are born.
Fragile, it can break at any time.
Uātis (pulls a length of string from a ball of twine):
One soul, many lives.
Drūið:
But not before the destined moment.
For the Oak Mothers decide the day of death, no matter the means.
Uātis (cuts the string):
One soul, many lives.
Bardos: We celebrate your life today. The words you spoke and the deeds you performed live on in our hearts. We may call for you, but do not turn back. Stay true to your path and cross the river.
Drūið:
The soul lives on, deathless and not afraid.
In Antumnos, it dwells and rests among the Ancestors.
Uātis (ties ends of string together to make a circle):
One soul, many lives.
Drūið:
Finally, the soul arises and yearns to return. The circle complete, the soul begins a new journey of life.
Uātis:
One soul, many lives.
All:
anation oinon, eliā biuotā.
